Looking for a small class environment where you have an individualised program tailored and adapted to your current needs/injuries? Look no further than our Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist led group Pilates classes!!
At Sport & Spinal Physiotherapy, our approach is unlike the classes often seen at the local gym or studio.
Take a look at the range of classes we offer, and all run by qualified and experienced Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists who have been trained through the Clinical Pilates programs for allied health professionals.
Pilates Matwork Classes
Whether you are a beginner or expert, there is something for everyone with Pilates Matwork classes. This series will focus on your alignment, flexibility, core strength and overall health. We aim to introduce small equipment, as required, to complement the repertoire of exercises, such as a theraband, chi ball, magic circle and foam roller. With classes strictly limited to 8 people, to allow our physiotherapist to closely monitor individual's progress.
Piilates Reformer Classes
A Pilates Reformer class is a great whole body workout. This challenging series builds on from your Pilates Matwork principles. The aim of this workout is to increase the tone in your muscles and to lengthen your body. By using spring loaded resistance with our Reformers, we can specifically target the spine, arms, legs and abdominals. Poses that we focus on include feet in straps, 4 point kneeling, standing on the reformer and in sidelying. Classes have limited availability at just 6 participants per class.
Strength and Conditioning Circuit
Our Strength Circuit classes are small classes capped at a maximum of 6. These classes are run by an Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute qualified Physiotherapist. In the classes, you will utilise a variety of specialised equipment including our Pilates Reformer, barrel, step peddle chair and TRX suspension system. If you are searching for a full body work out to help develop and improve your core stability, then these are the classes for you!
Diabetes Class
Our Exercise Physiologist will help you through your own individualised exercise program in a supervised gym environment and assist with monitoring glucose levels. Group classes are capped at 8 people. This program consists of 1 individual assessment (one-on-one) and up to 8 group exercise classes.
