Sport & Spinal Physiotherapy from deskHolistic & Integrated Solutions

A number of our comprehensive services can be integrated to provide the best outcome for our clients in a holistic approach to total wellness and fitness. This approach would largely consider the physical, nutritional, social and emotional needs of our clients. At any stage we may refer our clients for investigations or make appropriate referrals to other professionals as required. Our intention is always to obtain the best long-term result for our clients in the most cost effective manner.

Sustainable Outcomes

We believe in client-focused treatment with input from our clients in the decision-making to achieve a rewarding and sustainable result. Not only is a solution for your current health issues of concern, but we also place great emphasis in preventing the condition from reoccurring. Discharge is not dictated by symptomatic relief alone, but rather a deep understanding of your injury, personal goals and the possibility of re-occurrence. To obtain long-term and sustainable results we provide a thorough assessment approach, long appointments with detailed evidence-based treatment, self-managed fitness programs and regular follow-up monitoring.

Ethical Practice

We believe in the equality of access for all our clients. We believe in providing a supportive and caring environment for clients and staff. We engage with openness, honesty and respect. We believe in maintaining high OH&S standards and workplace equality. Our staff-mentoring program assists in professional and personal development and in establishing leadership roles within the community.

Our strongest attribute is our caring and compassionate environment for our clients and staff.

We are passionate about being successful so that we can significantly impact the lives of others including those less fortunate. On an ongoing basis we sponsor children through World Vision. All our cancellation fees and late payment fees are also donated to World Vision. On the last Friday of each month, we have ‘Fundraising Friday’ whereby the clinic donates 5% of all treatment money received to SOS Foundation. We also regularly volunteer our services in the community giving health management advice to sporting clubs and disability groups. We also sponsor several sporting clubs within the Gungahlin community.

Each year, some of our therapists volunteer travel to Palm Island (Queensland) and Gove (Northern Territory) to volunteer their services for a week to improve the lives for indigenous Australians. This includes health services as well as using our renovating / building skills.

It is a condition of employment that all professional staff are fully paid members of their relevant professional body and thus we are bound by the ethical guidelines and professional code of conduct of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Sports Medicine Australia, Australian Podiatry Council and the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.
